Product description
The AA size Li-Ion rechargeable cell (pencil battery) with USB-C charging slot on the cell body is a modern alternative to classic Ni-MH batteries. The main advantage is that no special charger is needed to charge it, just a regular USB-C adapter with cable. The cell contains an internal DC-DC converter that converts the voltage of the built-in Li-Ion battery (3.6V) to an output level of 1.5V.
Specifications:
Size: AA (R6-cap).
Declared output voltage: 1.5V
Measured output voltage: 1.35-1.4V depending on the state of discharge
Declared capacity: 1600mAh
Measured capacity: 1411mAh at 1.5A discharge current
Max discharge current: 1.5A, more than that is not allowed by the integrated DC-DC converter
Charging indication by green LED. It flashes when charging, lights up when charged.
Warning:
-When charging, the cell has full charging voltage at its poles, so the cell must be removed from the unit while charging or the unit must be disconnected from the power supply.
When the cell capacity is exhausted, the output voltage is suddenly disconnected and the cell is completely de-energized until the next charge.
