Angle grinders are one of the most popular tools. The main function of any angle grinder is to grind materials and, of course, to cut. The Procraft PW2650 with its 230mm wheel is ideal for all tasks. A grinder with this wheel diameter is designed for the most demanding tasks and this model handles them perfectly.
Comfort
The PW2650 sander is made of lightweight and durable modern materials. The gear housing is made of an aluminium-magnesium alloy, which ensures high resistance to mechanical damage and low weight, making the tool very easy to handle. Spindle lock button for quick disc change.
Modern materials
The clamping nuts are made of different alloys and therefore have different coefficients of expansion, eliminating the possibility of nut jamming.
Ease of use
To ensure that the other hand is always in the most comfortable position, the gearbox is equipped with 3 points for attaching the additional handle. With the PW2650, you determine how and in which position you work.
The guard is also equipped with a quick-release mechanism that allows you to quickly change the position of the guard according to safety requirements.
Cable
The power cable deserves special mention. It is made of high quality materials. Copper conductors with sufficient cross-section are reliably protected by silicone insulation. This surface layer does not lose its properties over a wide temperature range, whether hot or cold. In addition, the cable length of 3 metres allows comfortable work in all conditions.
Speed control and stabilisation
An important feature of the PW2650 is its adjustability. The speed controller significantly extends the range of use of the grinder in cases where excessive heat at high speeds could damage the workpiece. Setting a lower speed will reduce the rate at which the workpiece heats up, preventing overheating, tempering, melting or even ignition.
To keep the tool from stalling even at the lowest speed, the PW2650 is equipped with a speed stabilizer! When the blade stops under load, especially when grinding, the stabilizer will increase power to overcome resistance and maintain the exact speed set before starting work.
The electrical part
The heart of a power tool is its motor. In this case, it is the brush motor, which consists of a stator and a rotor.
All windings are made of copper wire and are also reliably encapsulated. In addition, the armature winding is equipped with an additional armoured winding which provides significant protection against all kinds of abrasive particles generated during operation when the armature is rotating rapidly. The anchor is mounted through a special damper. The stator, on the other hand, is securely fixed in place and there are holes for cooling between it and the housing.
