You can set, display and configure the Blue Smart IP65 charger via your smartphone. You can view the status of the charger and battery. Even control the charger functions using the VictronConnect app. The default voltage and current value is displayed on the screen. You can download the app for iOS and Android here. You can also download the VictronConnect app for free from Google Play or the App Store. This app is not yet available for Windows mobile phones.

Regeneration
A lead-acid battery that has already been undercharged or left discharged for several days or weeks will deteriorate due to sulphation. If detected early, sulphation can sometimes be partially reversed by charging with a low current until the battery reaches a higher voltage.
Recovery function for completely discharged batteries
Most chargers with reverse polarity protection do not recognize batteries that have been discharged to zero or almost zero voltage and therefore will not start charging them. However, the Blue Power Charger will attempt to recharge even a completely discharged battery with a low current and resume normal charging as soon as sufficient voltage appears at the battery terminals.
Ultra-high efficiency “green” battery charger
With an efficiency of up to 95%, these chargers produce up to 4x less heat than the industry standard. When the battery is fully charged, the power consumption is reduced to 0.5W, which is 5x to 10x better than the current standard.
Long life, safety and quiet operation
-Low thermal load on electronic components.
-Protection against dust, water and chemicals.
-Overheating protection: the output current will decrease with increasing temperature up to 60°C, but the charger will not fail.
-The chargers are completely silent: they do not contain an active heat sink (fan) or other moving parts.
Storage mode: less corrosion of the positive electrodes
Even the lower float charge voltage that follows the absorption phase can cause grid corrosion. It is therefore essential to continue to reduce the charging voltage if the battery remains connected to the charger for more than 48 hours.
Temperature compensated charging
The optimal charging voltage for a lead-acid battery varies inversely with its temperature. The Blue Power IP65 Charger measures the ambient temperature during the test phase and compensates for it during charging. The temperature is measured again when the charger is in low current mode during maintenance or storage. Therefore, no special settings are required for cold or hot environments.
Charging mode for Li-ion batteries
The Blue Power Charger uses a special charging algorithm for Li-ion (LiFePO4) batteries, with automatic reset of the undervoltage protection for Li-ion batteries.
Normal charging voltage mode 28.8V - suitable for gel and AGM batteries. High charging voltage mode 29.4V - suitable for open flooded batteries.
