The gas detector features a loud siren and coloured LEDs. To be absolutely sure that the device is working, you can test the alarm's functionality at any time by simply pressing the TEST/HUSH button. If everything is OK, the green LED will light up and the red LED will flash. An acoustic signal will also sound.
If the device is not working properly, it will alert you in a timely manner by beeping loudly and lighting the yellow and green LEDs every 30 seconds.
Maintenance-free power supply
The undeniable advantage of the GS869 gas detector is that it simply plugs into the 230 V mains after installation. The device then adapts within 3 minutes and is then fully ready for operation. This means that you do not have to worry about changing the batteries regularly over the next 5 years, as is the case with other types of detectors. Easy installation
The gas detector is designed for wall mounting or for free placement anywhere in the room. For easy hanging, there is a mounting plate that you attach to the wall using screws. The working detector is then simply mounted on the mounting plate using the fixing tabs provided. Your GS869 gas detector is then fully ready for use.
Where to place the detector
We recommend installing the gas detector in all rooms where there is a risk of gas leaks. For example, in the kitchen and boiler room. Natural gas is lighter than air and tends to rise up and fill any spaces that are above the leak point. Therefore, ideally install the detector directly above the likely leak point.
