Product description
Wireless carbon monoxide (CO) detector
A new generation of wireless carbon monoxide detector with breakthrough detection using a second generation electrochemical sensor and a colour LCD display with environmental features, which can operate as part of a FireSafe fire alarm system with support for the Hub FireSafe central control unit or completely stand-alone. Power is provided by an integrated lithium battery (built-in, non-replaceable) guaranteeing extremely long operation of the device for more than 10 years and an extended 10-year warranty on both the battery and the device itself.
Wireless carbon monoxide detector with 10 years warranty
A new generation of wireless carbon monoxide detector for continuous air monitoring for carbon monoxide with breakthrough CO detection powered by an integrated lithium battery (built-in, non-removable) guaranteeing extremely long operation of the device for more than 10 years and an extended 10-year warranty.
The SAFE 10YDCO - RF is a carbon monoxide detector that boasts a timeless compact design and combines the latest hardware and software technology applied to a functional smart detector design representing a new level of standard in residential fire safety.
FireSafe wireless network communication
The detector includes an integrated RF module which, thanks to the CONNECTED function, allows two or more FireSafe detectors to be connected wirelessly to create an interconnected wireless network. In this case, if one of the devices triggers an alarm, it will send out a radio signal and all other FireSafe units connected in the network will respond to the alarm.
FireSafe with central control unit
An intelligent Hub FireSafe central control unit can be added to the wireless network. These units then enable convenient setup and control of the complex FireSafe system remotely via an intuitive free mobile app (for Android and iOS) for smartphones, tablets and more. The Hub monitors the activity of all connected sensors and FireSAFE CONNECTED devices, and in the event that a hazard is detected, it immediately notifies the system user in the form of an alarm and alarm push notifications in the FireSAFE app.
Alarm notification of potentially dangerous carbon monoxide levels
In the event that the CO concentration reaches a specified threshold during detection, the detector will trigger a loud 85 dB audible alarm signal accompanied by the flashing of a red LED to indicate a carbon monoxide alarm, with the current measured CO concentration displayed on the detector's blue backlit display. This is a targeted way of attracting the attention of building occupants by means of high noise levels and intense LED signalling that a potential hazard is present in some part of the building. The purpose of the CO alarm is then to immediately respond to the alarm event or to move people from the scene of the emergency to a safe zone.
Environmental display functions
The backlit multi-function LCD display shows the current measured CO concentration in ppm in alarm mode, while in standby mode it alternately displays the current room temperature and humidity information in the monitored area, thus allowing you to react to dangerously low or high humidity or temperature environmental conditions. The temperature level display can be set based on preference in degrees Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).
If the detector is part of a fire safety system with a Hub FireSafe intelligent central control unit, individual data (battery status, room temperature and humidity, CO alarm information) is also displayed in the free FireSafe mobile app of your mobile phone or device.
The unique design of the device with IZOVAX protection
The combination of battery power and detector housing design allow for installation by placing the device in an optimal position on a horizontal surface. This eliminates the need for fixed installation of the carbon monoxide detector on a wall, but allows it to be variably and freely placed (stood up) on horizontal surfaces such as shelves, bedside tables, windowsills or other staging areas. The detector's electronic components and circuit board are coated with an insulating and protective coating of IZOVAX nanoparticle paint to protect the device's electronics even in very humid environments. The device can thus be placed or installed, for example, in bathrooms with karma, gas boilers, boiler rooms, drying rooms, etc.
Memory of the highest measured value
The SAFE 10YDCO - RF carbon monoxide detector has a memory function for the highest measured value. The memory records information about the highest measured CO concentration even in your absence. By pressing the combined TEST/SUSPEND button, you can recall and display this information on the LCD display regarding the highest levels of measured values since the last memory reset.
Temporary alarm silencing function
If the detector detects a threshold level of carbon monoxide concentration, it will trigger an alarm to activate the alarm. In the event of an unwanted audible alarm, the alarm can be temporarily silenced by pressing the TEST/SUSPEND button or directly in the FireSafe app (when the detector is added to a wireless network that includes the Hub FireSafe intelligent central control unit) for up to 9 minutes. The temporary silencing mode is signalled by the device with a red LED indicator that flashes 4 times every 5 seconds at a regularly recurring interval without an accompanying buzzer sound. If the CO concentration subsequently falls below the predetermined values, the detector automatically switches to normal operation mode.
