Product description

Solarfam photovoltaic panel is made of monocrystalline silicon. It is lightweight and semi-flexible and is primarily designed for mounting on slightly curved surfaces, e.g. on boats or caravans. It is fitted with 90cm long cables with MC4 terminals. It is designed for system voltage 12V and with regard to the Vmp parameter for MPPT controllers.
Fully waterproof panel construction.

CPC
The CPC material used on the surface has good weather resistance and high light transmittance and its performance is better than ETFE material. The integration of composite material has better solar cell protection compared to traditional flexible panels. The panels are very lightweight, easy to carry and install.

Monocrystalline cell description
To produce a single crystal cell, a uniform ingot of quartz crystal must be produced.Such production is quite demanding. The round ingot is cut into so-called wafers, which are cut to the required PV cell size. Because the ingot is formed as one large silicon crystal, its structure is uniform and very clean.

Advantages of single crystal
Higher cell efficiency and therefore higher power yield from the same area
Slightly slower "aging" of the silicon, i.e. panel performance declines more slowly with time
Cell coloration is homogeneous, panels are not "speckled"

Installation
When bonding a flexible panel to the roof of a vehicle, caravan, etc., it is necessary to take into account the different expansions of the roof and panel material, which can cause damage to the flexible panel.
It is recommended to glue the flexible panels on an intermediate layer made of "Makrolon Plaxiglas", which also allows air to flow under the solar panel, thus increasing its efficiency. Please note: the flexible panel can only be bent with the longer side at a maximum angle of 20°.
