Product description
PENOSIL FlexFoam 199 is a one-component polyurethane foam for guns, designed for assembly work and sealing of pressure-sensitive, moving joints and penetrations.
Excellent tightness and thermal and sound insulation properties
Constant flexibility
Low expansion during curing and low expansion after curing
Multi-season use (-5 °C to +30 °C)
No deformation
Very good adhesion to many materials
USE
Assembly and sealing of windows and doors.
Sealing of other narrow, pressure-sensitive and moving joints.
Insulation of ventilation equipment and pipe penetrations.
Improved thermal and sound insulation.
Reduction of thermal bridges.
Adhesion
Wood, concrete, murals, all metals, PVC, bricks, plasterboard, EPS, varnished and painted surfaces
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Surfaces must be free of dust, loose particles, ice and oil stains.
For faster curing and better final results, spray dry surfaces with water (only at temperatures above freezing).
Shake the can thoroughly at least 20 times. Hold the can vertically with the valve upwards.
When tightening the gun onto the can, hold the adapter with your fingers. When squeezing the foam, hold the can upside down. The foam output can be adjusted using the gun trigger and the adjusting screw.
Fill the joints to approximately 70%. For larger joints, apply the foam in several layers, slightly moistening it between layers.
Excess foam can be removed after complete curing.
Do not point the gun at people. Do not tighten the gun on a can with the valve inverted. Do not bend or twist the can while tightening.
Air temperature during application: -5°C to +30°C
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces must be free from dust, loose particles, ice and grease. Dry substrates should be moistened (only at temperatures above 0°C) to ensure best results.
Adjacent surfaces should be protected with paper, protective foil or other suitable material.
If necessary, additional external cover should be used to protect against weather conditions such as rain, snow or wind.
LIMITATIONS
Will not adhere to polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), Teflon (PTFE) or silicone surfaces.
Do not use at temperatures below -5°C.
Cured foam should be covered with a suitable material with UV protection.
Not suitable for surfaces that are in constant contact with water.
