The sun's rays pass through the solar sail and heat the water immediately below the surface. The bubbles act like lenses in sunlight and thus increase the water temperature. At night, they prevent the evaporation of water, chemicals and water cooling. The solar tarpaulin also partially protects against dirt falling into the pool.
