Product description
PENOSIL PU plasterboard adhesive 872 is a professional one-component polyurethane adhesive.
It is intended for bonding plasterboard, fiber cement, cement and wood boards (OSB) to substrates made of ordinary concrete, aerated concrete, ceramic bricks, silicate blocks and wooden boards.
Unique technology allows for precise and controlled application - it allows positioning and correction of the board setting by gently pressing it onto the surface with unevenness up to 20 mm.
Immediate initial adhesion.
Allows for precise and easy positioning of the boards.
Processing in just 30 minutes.
Coverage up to 10 m2 (3 standard plasterboard boards).
No dust or dirt.
High adhesion of the adhesive to the surface.
COLOR
Cream.
PACKAGING
Aerosol canister 750 ml.
USAGE
Gluing of plasterboard, fiber cement, cement and wood (OSB) boards to substrates made of ordinary concrete, aerated concrete, ceramic bricks, silicate blocks and wood boards.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Product preparation:
The temperature of the can should be between +5 °C and +25 °C.
Before use, shake the can thoroughly at least 20 times to mix the ingredients thoroughly.
Screw the can onto the applicator.
The temperature of the applicator must not be lower than the temperature of the can.
APPLICATION
Wear protective gloves.
The working position of the can is “valve down”.
Before gluing the board to the wall, place a piece of GK or other material on the underside of the wall as a spacer.
Apply the adhesive to the board in the form of a 2-3 cm wide braid, maintaining a distance of about 5 cm between the braid and the edge of the board.
Leave an empty space between the braids applied along the edge of the board to allow air to escape.
In the middle of the glued board, between the arms of the foam braid frame, foam of the same thickness should be released in a zigzag crisscross pattern to glue the center of the board.
The diameter of the braid can be adjusted to meet the needs of leveling the wall surface.
In the case of larger irregularities, a double braid should be used, applied layer by layer.
The maximum unevenness that can be corrected with foam adhesive is 20 mm. If the unevenness is greater than 20 mm, additional spacers, e.g. made of plasterboard or other elements, must be used.
Immediately after applying the adhesive, place the board on the glued surface.
After placing the board against the wall, press it carefully to secure its position.
Avoid damaging the adhesive structure by applying strong pressure or hitting the board. After the initial correction, adjust the final position of the board with a long spirit level and carefully press it against the wall.
Correction should be carried out between 2 and 5 minutes after the first application.
Approximately 30 minutes after application, you can start processing the board, i.e. filling and processing the vertical and horizontal joints between the boards.
LIMITATIONS
The curing speed, including the correction time, strongly depends on the prevailing temperature and humidity.
The higher the application temperature, the shorter this time.
The lower the temperature and the closer to the minimum application temperature, the longer the correction time can be.
The manufacturer recommends adjusting the position of the installed boards each time.
The adhesive does not show any adhesion to polyethylene, polypropylene, polyamide, silicone and Teflon.
The adhesive is safe for plasterboard; it will not destroy it.
The quality and technical condition of the applicator used affect the parameters of the final product.
4/5 do not use the adhesive in rooms without access to fresh air or in poorly ventilated areas and protect the container from heating above 50 °C.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface should be stable, dry, clean, free of dust, dirt and oil.
Before starting the adhesive application, check the adhesion of the adhesive to existing plasters and surfaces.
If necessary, remove any loose plaster or paint.
If the wall surface is not good enough, it should be primed.
CLEANING
Remove fresh adhesive with a polyurethane foam cleaner, but be careful, as the cleaner may damage the plasterboard.
Cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically (e.g. with a knife).
If work is interrupted for more than 15 minutes, clean the gun nozzle.
To do this, attach the plastic tube included in the applicator package to the applicator outlet to prevent the formation of a mist containing cleaning agent and applicator residues during cleaning.
Then screw the can of cleaner onto the applicator and press the trigger until clear liquid flows out. Secure the trigger.
After finishing work, clean the gun with cleaner.

STORAGE
Guaranteed shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture, when stored in closed original packaging in a dry place, at a temperature between +5°C and +30°C. Do not store near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
