Product description
PENOSIL PU roof adhesive easygun 874 is designed for the installation of thermal insulation made of EPS, XPS, PIR PUR and mineral wool on flat roofs.
The thick consistency, allowing a board spacing of up to 15 mm, combined with low additional expansion and an extended correction time, significantly facilitates the installation and leveling of thermal insulation boards.
High efficiency, combined with a short setting time of the foam adhesive, speeds up installation work.
A composition that increases resistance to weathering.
Excellent adhesion to many materials.
Reliable bond strength - high bond strength exceeding the tensile strength of the thermal insulation material.
Effective and economical fastening - high efficiency up to approx. 18 m2 per can.
No sagging of the boards - a thick layer of adhesive allows correction and spacing of the boards.
Short curing time - mechanical fixation possible after just 2 hours.
Does not create thermal or acoustic bridges.
High adhesion of the adhesive to the surface.
High elimination of thermal bridges.
High work efficiency and clean technology.
COLOUR
Grey.
PACKAGING
Aerosol can 750 ml.
USAGE
Foam adhesive designed for bonding thermal insulation in applications such as:
Flat roofs: for bonding thermal insulation to bitumen vapour barriers and waterproofing.
Also used on gravel or mechanically fastened roofs to temporarily secure and level thermal insulation.
Foundation walls: for attaching EPS and XPS boards to bitumen waterproofing substrates (in underground parts of buildings).
External walls: for bonding thermal insulation to external walls in ETICS systems.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Put on protective gloves.
Adjust the adhesive flow rate by pressing the trigger and adjusting the flow control knob on the gun.
The adhesive braid should have a diameter of approx. 2-3 cm (the thickness of the adhesive braid depends on the unevenness of the substrate).
Apply the foam adhesive to the substrate according to the diagram below.
Immediately after applying the adhesive (within 3 minutes), position the elements to be joined.
The position of the elements can be corrected for 10 minutes.
The board pressed against the substrate should be covered with adhesive on ? 5% of its surface.
Permissible joint thickness ? 15 mm.
Further doweling/walking possible after 2 hours.
LIMITATIONS
Does not adhere to polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or PTFE (Teflon®).
The cured foam is sensitive to UV radiation and direct sunlight, therefore it must be covered with a suitable opaque material.
Due to the wide range of possible substrates, an initial compatibility and adhesion test is recommended. Prime the surface as necessary to improve adhesion.
Due to various factors that can affect the product during and after application, you should always test the product before use.
The use-by date must be observed
SURFACE PREPARATION
The surfaces must be dry, free of dust, loose particles and oil. Dampen the dry surface to ensure better results.
CLEANING
Remove fresh adhesive with a cleaner, but be careful not to damage the polystyrene board with the cleaner.
Once cured, the foam adhesive can be removed mechanically or with a universal cleaner for cured foam. Before cleaning, a test should be carried out on an inconspicuous area.
After finishing the work, the gun must be thoroughly cleaned - to do this, screw the can of cleaner onto the gun and press the trigger until clear liquid flows out.
If you are going to take a break from work for more than 15 minutes, clean the gun nozzle with a universal foam cleaner and lock the trigger, leaving the can screwed on until the next use.
If the foam adhesive is not completely used up after finishing the work, the can valve should also be cleaned.
STORAGE
Guaranteed shelf life of 12 months from the date of production, when stored in the closed original packaging, in a dry place, at a temperature between +5 °C and +30 °C. Do not store near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Pressurized container. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Use personal protective equipment if necessary. Keep out of reach of children. For more detailed safety information, see the label and the safety data sheet (SDS).
