Optical device for testing battery electrolyte, coolant, washer fluid, Adblue concentration.
Function:
measures the degree of frost resistance (freezing point) of coolant based on ethylene glycol (1,2-ethanediol), e.g. coolants with the trade names Fridex G 48, Fridex G Plus, Fridex Stabil, Castrol Antifreeze SF VDK etc. or coolants based on propylene glycol (propane-1,2-diol), e.g. coolants with the trade names Fridex Eko Extra, Texaco Havoline XLC-PG etc. in the range (-50°C – 0°C),
measures the degree of frost resistance (freezing point) of washer fluid based on isopropanol (2-propanol) in the range (-40°C – 0°C),
measures the degree of battery charge, resp. battery electrolyte density in the range (1.10 – 1.40 g/cm3)
Measuring Adblue concentration / nominal ADblue value is 32.5%
Take a drop of the appropriate liquid with the included dropper and drop it onto the prism of the device. The given value will be displayed on one of 5 scales in the optical eyepiece.
