The SmartShunt tracker is a new model of high-precision system for monitoring the status of up to two independent batteries without a display.
SmartShunt is a battery monitor just like the BMV series, only it has no display. Your smartphone with the VictronConnect application becomes the display. You can download the VictronConnect app for free on Google Play or in the App Store.
SmartShunt connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect application on your smartphone (or tablet) and you can conveniently read all monitored battery parameters, such as charge status, historical information and much more.
Alternatively, the SmartShunt can be connected and read by the GX. The connection to SmartShunt is made using a VE.Direct cable.
SmartShunt is a good alternative to a BMV battery monitor, especially for systems where battery monitoring is required but less cabling is required and a conventional display is not required.
SmartShunt is equipped with Bluetooth, a VE.Direct port and a connection that can be used to monitor a second battery, to monitor at a midpoint or to connect a temperature sensor.
Differences compared to the BMV712 battery monitor
- No programmable visual and audible alarm
