Flood detection and rain detection modes
The device offers two modes of operation so you can easily adapt it to your specific application. Flood detection is designed for critical areas - once the sensor detects water on the line, it immediately triggers an alarm that works well under a washing machine, dishwasher, boiler or in the basement. Rain detection works in a more subtle way: it registers rising moisture levels on surfaces but does not generate an alarm, which works well on patios or under sheds, for example. In this mode, the device reacts at the first sign of precipitation and helps protect outdoor equipment and furniture.

Precise detection cable for small and large spaces
The two-metre flood detection cable provides a much greater range than a standard spot sensor. It allows you to cover hard-to-reach areas with monitoring, and its linear design is particularly suitable for long stretches of pipework, built-in furniture or large utility rooms. If required, you can link successive sections to achieve a total length of up to 150 m, allowing you to protect large areas or several points at once.

Connectivity via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and Matter
The Shelly Flood Gen4 sensor works with a variety of communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee) and is compatible with the Matter standard, allowing flexible integration with virtually any home automation system. Three alarm styles for different operating scenarios
Shelly Flood Gen4 has a built-in audible alarm that emits a long alert when flooding is detected and a short beep when the battery is low. The sensor also offers three alarm modes that allow you to customize the water leak alert to your location. Intense provides a quick and clear alert, Normal works well for everyday use, while Economy reduces power consumption, which is especially useful in summer homes, garages or other infrequently visited properties.

Battery power and freedom of installation
The device is powered by four 1.5V AA batteries, which are included in the package. It requires no wiring and can be placed where there is no access to an outlet - for example, under the kitchen counter, in cabinets, near pipes or in utility areas. The device also has an IP44 rating, which means it is resistant to moisture and splash water. As a result, the sensor will work well not only indoors, but also in semi-open spaces such as patios or under canopies.Note: do not expose the device directly to rain - the main module should be shielded and only the detection cable exposed.

Local automation and cooperation with external devices
The Flood Gen4 sensor supports local operating scenarios that, among other things, allow the device to automatically shut down when water is detected. Integration with other Shelly modules and third-party devices allows you to create functional safety features tailored to the room or system.

Control via the app and built-in web interface
