Keep your car battery in good shape with the compact 10 W solar maintenance charger. Ideal for cars, motorcycles, boats, caravans and other vehicles that are not in regular use.
By harnessing solar energy, the charger helps prevent the battery from discharging itself, extending its life and ensuring your vehicle is always ready to go.
The charger is designed for maintenance charging of 12 V batteries.
If the battery voltage drops - for example, due to natural discharge - it will start to supply the battery with electricity and continue to do so until the battery is fully charged.
The voltage drop will then be compensated and the battery will be ready for full power again.
Connecting to the battery is quick and easy, using either: a battery cable with battery clips, a cable with loops or a cable with a cigarette lighter plug, which are included in the accessory.
With a cigarette lighter, it is important to check that it is still connected to the battery when the ignition is switched off. If the cigarette lighter disconnects when the key is turned off, it cannot be used to recharge the battery.
A solar charger will not charge the battery more than it needs to, nor can it discharge the battery because it has a built-in reverse current diode, and is even partially functional under overcast skies.
