Product description
Acrylic sealant PENOSIL 686 is a one-component sealant based on acrylic resins, designed for jointing corners in plasterboard structures. It is characterized by high flexibility and is ideal for painting.
It has ideal adhesion to typical building surfaces, even to damp ones, such as plasterboard, concrete, brick, plaster, wood and stone.
It is odorless, frost-resistant and UV-resistant.
Overpaintable.
Odorless and chemically neutral.
Flexible.
Possibility of applying multiple layers after hardening.
Good adhesion to porous surfaces.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The sealant is applied with mechanical or pneumatic pressing attachments from 280 ml cartridges.
Cut the cartridge outlet above the thread and screw on the application tip, cut at a suitable angle to the width of the joint.
Fill the gap thoroughly to ensure continuous adhesion of the sealant to the sealing surface.
To avoid contamination around the gap and maintain an even line, use masking tape, which must be removed immediately after the acrylic is finished.
The joints should be smoothed with a silicone spatula, spatula, finger or cloth moistened with water to reduce adhesion.
Leave the joint until it has completely hardened.
Application temperature +5°C to +40°C.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The surfaces to be joined should be clean and dry, free from dust, rust, loose parts of old sealant, grease, oil, paint and other contaminants that reduce the adhesion of the sealant.
Non-porous surfaces should be cleaned with solvent and a clean, lint-free cotton cloth. Excess solvent should be removed before it evaporates.
RESTRICTIONS
Do not use on bituminous or tarred substrates or on materials that leak oils or plasticizers
Do not use in damp or wet conditions or when rain is imminent
Not recommended for applications in areas with constant contact with water
CLEANING
Uncured acrylic can be removed with water or PENOSIL cleaning wipes.
Cured acrylic must first be removed mechanically and then wiped with a damp cloth.

STORAGE
The guaranteed shelf life is 18 months from the date of production, when stored in closed original packaging in a dry place at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C.
Avoid frost and temperatures above +30°C.
